[ kneejerk reaction is thinking this is sky getting in touch with him about job-related news. good or bad, whatever, just some kind of update. or maybe even just checking in because this is a strange new place and rain would like him to check in once in a while even if he didn't explicitly say so.

[ rain leans in toward the screen a little as though that'll help him with his attempt at listening very closely to everything he's being told. he's doing this to help support himself and sky so this is very important!
